Whether you agree or not with the project, it is clear there are some very discourteous - even downright nasty - people living in this town.

How dare some people be so abusive towards someone who is trying to improve his life for himself and his family and attempting to improve facilities in a town in which we have a town council that constantly appears to be against any sort of change?

Someone wrote recently that Mr Hushon should go to Exmouth - my word, you will be rounding up a posse to run him out town soon. Listen to yourselves, you should be ashamed of how you are behaving. Why should he 'give up' in the face of all the bullying that is going on - it is nothing short of a witch-hunt.

Why so much fuss and nastiness? Where do the customers for the pubs and the restaurants in the main street park? I do not see litter and people strewn all over the town centre, making unearthly noise when coming out of those establishments - do you?

Stop being so elitist and show some respect to a family that obviously loves this town enough to stay and take such a battering from some quarters.

Unfortunately, I feel I have to withhold my name and address because, it seems, there are some people in this town who bear incredible grudges if you do not agree with their way of thinking.
