Vintage cycle ride from Exmouth will take in sea air

VELO Vintage has lined up its fourth Vintage Occasion and Ride to coincide with the Exmouth Christmas Cracker on Saturday, December 7.
This year’s event – which has become a focal highpoint of the Cracker – will have a 1930s to 1950s theme, with “a lot of encouragement” for World War Two attire.
Although riders are asked to dress appropriately, the event is open to any age of bicycle.
Registration will take place at The Grapevine on Victoria Road at 11am, with the ride setting off from The Strand at midday.
One of three routes will be chosen, “depending on the climatic conditions”, returning to Exmouth at around 3.30pm.
“If possible, we’d like to take in a little sea air, as well as journey along the former routes of steam locomotion in the locality,” said a spokesperson.
Tickets – available only in advance – are £15.75. See www.velovintage.co.uk/4th-Occasion---Ride.html for more details
