OFFWELL has been cut off by heavy snow and the village shop is co-ordinating efforts to keep residents informed and stocked up.A power cut has affected half the village and hot water is being delivered to provide people with warm drinks.A farmer used his tractor to collect the shop's milk after the milkman could only reach Windmill Garage on the A35."This is what having a village shop is all about," said volunteer Eileen Rooke."Helen Garwood has been ringing round to check people are alright and to see if they need anything."Offwell WI, which was due to meet last night, cancelled the meeting due to the weather forecast.
