Veterans honoured at Phear Park service

TRIBUTES were paid to the D-Day veterans at a recent service held in Phear Park. The commemoration was held to honour those who had fought during World War II and was part of a weekend of events in Phear Park. It was attended by Mayor Joy Whipps, Exmouth

TRIBUTES were paid to the D-Day veterans at a recent service held in Phear Park.The commemoration was held to honour those who had fought during World War II and was part of a weekend of events in Phear Park.It was attended by Mayor Joy Whipps, Exmouth Town Concert Band provided the ceremonial music and the US Navy Colour Guard recognised the bravery of their fellow countrymen.The day also saw a dog show, organised by Corner House Veterinary Surgery, which saw a good number of entries.Emma Crane, of Exmouth Photo Services, was on hand to record the activities for posterity.
