Vehicle collides with pedestrian in town centre

Emergency services were called out this afternoon after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian in Exmouth town centre.

South Western Ambulance Service was called to the incident, involving a man in his forties, at The Strand, at 3.12pm.

The patient had been tended to by fire crews until the ambulance arrived.

An ambulance service spokesman said the patient was assessed and treated at the scene, then taken home.
