Exmouth will possibly be flooded right up to Phear Park by 2115", (Exmouth Journal, November 13). Then on the same page our councillors are more concerned about car parking - or the lack of. When are they going to wake up?I just cannot believe sometimes how East Devon District Council make their decisions - they must sit in a dark, sound-proof room and draw straws for what to do next. It seems that way to many of the people in this area that they need a good kick up the backside. How are we supposed to get to this so-called supermarket (that nobody wants anyway in the position allocated so far) if it is going to be flooded all the time - I do not wish to go shopping in a wet suit and by boat. So perhaps EDDC should start thinking with their heads and first get the flood defences sorted out along the so-called danger area.As for car parking, we all know there is not enough, but what do they want to do? Build a supermarket on the only coastal one we have?I really despair sometimes for this town and its future because of some of the councillors we have at the moment. Someone move them out, please.Let's get someone who listens to the people just for a change. Wouldn't that be novel?Terence Hart,21 Warneford Gardens, Exmouth.
