Friday, July 25 - A 38-year-old man who disappeared from his Clyst St George home in the early hours of this morning has been found safe and well in Exmouth

A 38-year-old Clyst St George man who disappeared from his home in the early hours of this morning has been found safe and well.

Steven May was last seen at 2am this morning and was reported missing at around 8am.

He was found safe and well in Exmouth at around mid-morning today and was spoken to by police at his Clyst St George home.

A friend reported Steven missing after raising concerns for his welfare.

Exmouth's inshore lifeboat crew carried out a thorough search of the River Exe as far as retreat Boatyard, in Topsham.

The all-weather lifeboat searched as far down as Orcombe Point and Sandy Bay.

Exmouth coastguards conducted a foot search of the river as far as Exton.

The police force helicopter was also tasked to search for the missing man.
