Roy Shaw (UFO encounter, Journal, February 11) need not worry - I had a similar experience 40 years ago and survived it.
Coming home from college one evening, I saw a huge black circle above me and, as I winced, it started getting smaller until it disappeared in a bright flash. I did not think anybody would believe me, but two people at work had similar stories at different times.
