A PART time soldier and full-time student walked the Jurassic Coast line from Exmouth to Weymouth in just over 18 hours to raise money for troops injured in Afghanistan

Architecture student and TA solider Luke Dulaic, 34, of 6th Battalion of the Rifles started his trek last weekend at Exmouth seafront clock tower at 6am to raise money on behalf of Exmouth Royal British Legion.

On his trek he visited Budleigh Salterton, Ladrum Bay, Sidmouth, Dunscombe, Branscombe Mouth, Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis and finally, Weymouth Clock Tower walking 57 miles.

Chairman of Exmouth Royal British Legion, Tom Harvey-May, said: "Luke took this opportunity to complete a sponsored walk in order to show his support for his comrades who have during the course of their duty, been wounded while serving in Afghanistan.

"His dedication will surely give them heart, knowing that such men exist and are prepared to study all day, train for a long sponsored walk at night and then train with the TA on most weekends."

Mr Harvey-May said that they expected that the walk would take 24 hours - but he completed the trek in just 18 and a half.

Mr Harvey-May added: ""He left at 6am and I gave him a good send off with a

good breakfast.

"Seaton and Beer were busy with tourists and they gave him a great round of applause as he came onto the seafront.

"He is a part time soldier and a full time student and he has our respect and our gratitude for this resolve.
