STAFF, volunteers and customers at Hospiscare's Budleigh Salterton shop are remembering the life of Grace Lindsay this week after she lost her battle against cancer on Saturday.Grace had been manager of the charity shop for almost two years, but in May this year was forced to give up work through illness. As a tribute to Grace, the Hospiscare shop will close on the day of the funeral, which is yet to be announced. Tributes have been pouring in for her as people this week mourned her death. Hospiscare's shops manager Helen Hutter said: "Grace will be very sadly missed by Hospiscare, and myself. She was a very loyal member of staff, and personally committed to the cause of the charity. She really cared about the shop, its staff, volunteers and customers. Our thoughts are with her friends and family." Shop staff members Francis Grisley and Wendy Pearman said Grace had a compassionate nature.Francis said: "She was very caring, and always sympathetic to people's needs." Wendy added: "She cared about everyone, and made the shop like a family.
