Two young crows trapped under netting on the roof of an Exmouth fast food outlet have sparked a major rescue mission.
Exmouth firefighters, the RSPCA, the police and the aerial platform from Exeter fire station have been drafted in to rescue the birds from the roof of the Kentucky Fried Chicken, in Imperial Road.
The Journal understands the young crows became trapped after getting stuck beneath special netting designed to keep seagulls at bay.
The concerned parent birds have been making attempts to free their young throughout the rescue, the fire service said.
It is expected the rescue will take at least an hour-and-a-half.
