TOPSHAM Royal British Legion will be holding its annual memorial Potts lunch on Armistice Day.There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Topsham War Memorial on Sunday, November 9, at 11am, and an Armistice Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, at the War Memorial at 11am.The Potts lunch was first started by Major Gordon Potts to give members a chance to meet socially after the short service of Remembrance Day. It will be continued this year in memory of the Major who died 18 months ago.The lunch will be held at the Globe Hotel and is expected to attract nearly 100 people.Member Robert Ambridge said: "We hope to break last year's record in money raised during the Poppy Appeal. "The appeal involves a great number of Topsham residents who, even though they are not branch members, feel that they owe something to those members of the Armed Forces who gave their lives for their country or were injured.
