VILLAGE FAIR: Exmouth’s town crier will officially open all the fun of the fair on Saturday when Brixington Community Church, in Churchill Road, holds its popular Brix village fair.
The fun starts at 1pm until 4pm, and promises a host of family fun, including bouncy castles, a fire engine, birds of prey and many stalls.
The church, which works to encourage a sense of community, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
FENCE plea: An application to retain a boundary fence at a Littleham home has been opposed by Exmouth Town Council.
Members of the council’s planning committee felt the fence, at 26 Berry Close, was out of keeping with the area, and affected visibility for road users.
East Devon District Council will now rule on the plan.
EXTENSION: Plans to build a rear extension at 12 St Johns Road have been supported by Exmouth Town Council.
East Devon District Council will now make the final decision on planning permission.
CARNIVAL CAPER: A curry and pint night in aid of Exmouth carnival will take place at Franklins café on Tuesday, May 14, from 7pm.
A choice of menu is on offer and the first drink is included in the ticket price.
The meal will be followed by a general knowledge quiz with the winning team scooping a prize. Tickets are £8 each, with just a limited number available.
Reservations can be made by calling Franklins on 01395 263086.
