Topsham residents are being urged to play their part in a young woman’s bid to raise £5,000 for Exeter Hospiscare.

Sasha Ingham is set to perform at Matthews Hall next month with Lighter Inn landlord Stuart Crook. There will be music, a BBQ and bar.

Sasha wants to raise £1,000 from the event and the other £4,000 from other activities she has planned in Topsham.

The 21-year-old is hoping more than 300 people will turn out at Matthews Hall.

She said: “I am excited and nervous as it is the first time I have hosted an event, usually I just perform. I have performed at a number of county events.”
