Topsham is celebrating two winners in the recently announced 2018 Food Drink Devon awards.

In the casual dining awards, the Pig and Pallet, on Topsham Quay, was named best bistro.

The Salutation Inn, in Topsham’s Fore Street, was named the ‘highly prestigious’ best fine dining restaurant.

Judges awarding the Salutation Inn the title said ‘the beautifully presented dishes demonstrated a clear love of food, all cooked to perfection’.

The awards ceremony, held in north Devon, was hosted by food and drink broadcaster, Nigel Barden, and recognised the county’s food and drink producers, hospitality businesses and speciality retailers

Mr Barden said: “The county is full of talented, enthusiastic and passionate food and drink producers, gifted chefs and focused retailers. It has so much to offer both those living in the region and visitors from further afield.

“These awards are a credit to all those who have entered and to the organisation itself.”
