A giant art display has gone on show at Topsham’s Darts farm as part of a fundraiser for Hospiscare.
IT IS hoped a picture of giant sunflowers, which has gone on display at a Topsham visitor attraction, will help brighten up the day for an Exeter-based charity.
Darts Farm has teamed up with the Newton Poppleford Art Society and reproduced a giant picture of Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers as part of a fundraiser for Hospiscare.
Scores of artists helped put together the seven by six feet picture, which is in the form of a mosaic, made up of 49 squares painted by different people.
Some have been painted by staff at Darts Farm and BBC Spotlight presenter Justin Leigh has also picked up a paintbrush to produce one of the squares.
Visitors will be able to enter a competition to see if they can guess which square Justin and others painted — and there are prizes to be won.
To demonstrate Darts Farm’s support for Hospiscare, people are being encouraged to pick sunflowers from a field this month in return for a donation to the good cause.
