Topsham’s Estuary League of Friends has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund for the second year running.
Topsham-based charity The Estuary League of Friends is celebrating another year of support from national supermarket chain Co-op.
The cause has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund for the second year running.
The charity said funds will help tackle pensioner isolation and provide hot lunches all year round for 50 older people living alone or being caring for.
Rachel Gilpin, Estuary League of Friends chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund for the second year running.
“Thank you to all our supporters in the local community for choosing to divert their one per cent contribution to Estuary to help the most vulnerable live full and independent lives.
“And our thanks also go to Daniel and his team at our local Co-op who have done such a good job in promoting the scheme in support of local causes.”
