Topsham firefighters respond to A38 lorry fire

Monday, August 4 - TOPSHAM and Exeter firefighters were this morning called to the A38 near Haldon Hill after reports of a lorry on fire.

TOPSHAM and Exeter firefighters were this morning called to the A38 near Haldon Hill after reports of a lorry on fire.

When the firefighters arrived shortly before 10am they discovered there had been a small fire in the articulated lorry's rear axle, but it was out on the crews' arrival.

The firefighters used a hose reel to cool the axle to make sure the fire was completely extinguished
