THE average number of crimes committed in Topsham compared with last year has decreased.
Devon and Cornwall Constabulary revealed there was an average of 28.7 per cent crimes recorded in Topsham and Countess Wear - down from 30 per cent for the months of March, April and May.
The number of burglaries in the area, however, had increased from three to five compared with the same quarter last year. The level of burglary was judged to be average.
