AN ACOUSTIC band from Topsham have scooped two national music awards.
Steve Knightley and Phil Beer, from Show of Hands, have won the Best Duo and Best Original Song titles at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
They picked up the original song award for Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed, due to be released as a single on Monday, February 22.
The song, which criticises global bankers and bonuses, MPs and inventive expenses, is the title track of their latest studio album and was performed live at the awards ceremony in London with double bassist and vocalist Miranda Sykes.
