A TOPSHAM art gallery is marking its opening exhibition by displaying the works of two 'eminent' painters.
From now until May 31 the work of Francis Hewlett RWA and Robert Organ RWA, who were at the Slade together in the early 50s, goes on show at the Art Room gallery, in Fore Street.
Deborah Wood, who recently moved the gallery from Budleigh Salterton to Topsham, said: 'It's a great privilege for a new regional gallery to be entrusted with such work.
"My ambition for Topsham is to attract great artists and celebrate the contribution that the south west makes to the art world.
