Armed officers seen at property in Topsham

Armed officers have been seen at a property in Topsham today (Thursday).
It is believed that police have spent most of today at the house in Elm Grove.
Officers say they are likely to remain at the property for most of this afternoon.
It is believed that it is part of a pre-planned enquiry.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police attended a property in Elm Grove this morning to carry out a safeguarding visit with the occupant.

Police have reiterated that it is not currently a criminal investigation.
