THE Topsham supporters group of the Brooke Hospital for Animals is holding a coffee morning on Saturday May 9 from 10am-noon, upstairs in Matthews Hall.
The group is looking for donations of goods and cakes to sell.
On the day there will be stalls selling bric-a-brac and books and also a raffle and refreshments.
Topsham Brooke Hospital spokeswoman Terri Mason said: "Last autumn we were able to send a cheque for 950 to the Brooke.
"This represented the proceeds from the autumn coffee morning and some generous donations, which together with an earlier cheque, meant we were able to sends a total of 1,700 last year.
"We always receive a letter of profound thanks for the amounts we are able to send and we would like to pass on those thanks to everyone who has sent a donation or attended our coffee mornings.
"It costs just 6.73 to reach one suffering animal so the money you have helped means the Brooke can reach many more horses, donkeys and mules desperately in need.
