Time to move on

Reading, in your paper, letters from a handful of people banging on about 12,000 signatures.

I did not sign the petition because I knew the Elizabeth Hall was not given to the people of Exmouth. The Urban District Council purchased it for future investment for this town.

It was not run or managed by Exmouth Town Council. East Devon District Council not once stated there was going to be luxury apartments on the site.

Mr M Green stated at a town council meeting that he had people call them asking them to remove their names from the petition.

The organisations that hired the room within the hall will be able to hire the meeting rooms within the hotel.

And the people of this town, and the tourists, will be able to use the toilet facilities.

Let’s move forward for the future.
