DEVON Cliffs Holiday Park at Sandy Bay is today taking fund-raising to new heights - with a sky-lotto helicopter display over the beach.
At 3pm today - and every Thursday afternoon throughout the holiday season - an R44 helicopter will release 3,000 numbered balls from 50ft above a target on the beach.
The balls will have numbers like in a lottery draw which will correspond to tickets being sold in the holiday park gift shop.
The seven balls nearest to the target will win prizes and the one closest will win a two-day all-inclusive break for two - including one night's stay - at Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club, near Exmouth.
The prize competition is open to local residents as well as holidaymakers at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park.
Tickets cost £2, or buy two and get one free.
Money raised will go to the Little Star Foundation, the new charity arm of Haven Holidays - with 25 per cent of the proceeds going to the NSPCC, 25 per cent to Children's Trust and the remainder going to local charities nominated by the holiday parks.
