Accountant secretary Karen Dixon was given flowers by her bosses to mark 30 years with the firm
An Exmouth woman who worked her way up through the ranks at a local accountancy firm has been praised for 30 years of service.
Karen Dixon, who has dedicated three decades to firm Thompson Jenner LLP, was presented with a bouquet of flowers to mark the occasion.
Karen, who joined the firm straight from school as an office junior, said the presentation of flowers was a ‘proud’ moment. She said she was ‘happy’ working for the firm.
She said: “I am so proud to be part of the team at Thompson Jenner and to have seen the firm grow and become what it is today.
“I can’t believe it’s been 30 years since starting work here, the time has just flown past.
“I love the people I work with and there’s a great atmosphere, which has made my time very enjoyable over the years.”
Neil Curtis, managing partner, who presented the flowers, said Karen was a ‘special’ member of staff whose dedication had helped make the firm a success.
He said: “We would all like to thank Karen for her loyal, diligent and dedicated service over the years.
“Karen has huge respect from her work colleagues and everyone that she comes into contact with as part of her job.
“Any firm is nothing without a strong and dedicated team of staff and it is people like Karen who have helped to make Thompson Jenner the success that it is today.
“I hope that we will have the pleasure of having Karen as part of the team for many more years.”
