THREE local charities received a massive cash boost worth a total of 600,000 at East Devon Golf Club last week, thanks to a legacy by the late Josie Hall, the former ladies’ captain, who died last year.
Hotelier Josie, the captain in 2000, died last summer and left the rest of her estate, to be divided up evenly, to three of the charities she supported.
To receive the cheque were (far left ) John and Betty Murphy, of Exmouth Hospital League of Friends, Canon David Price, of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare (second right), and the chief executive of Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Helena Holt (far right).
