Archant

Controversial and topical toys are coming to Exmouth’s Rolle Centre as part of an exhibition to highlight serious subjects.

The Toying with Art event is the idea of Powys-based Paul Russell Cooper and Cliff Gorman, of Woodbury. They said the twist on traditional toys was to provoke public interest in some of the most disturbing of topical issues.

Many of the exhibits seem harmless enough on the outside, but scratch the surface and there is a serious, possibly even disturbing, message just waiting to be discovered.

Toying with Art will be at the Rolle Centre, Douglas Avenue, Exmouth, from Saturday, September 17 to Saturday, October 1.
