EXMOUTH residents have the chance to quiz health bosses from The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust in Withycombe on Tuesday.

The Trust is encouraging the public to get more involved - and want feedback on their services.

Elected Governors from the Trust are being tasked to find out what the public wants and expects from them at a series of quarterly public meetings across Devon.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday September 1 at St John the Evangelist Church Hall, Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth, 6.30-8.00pm

Miss Margaret Green, Deputy Chair of Governors will be attending the meeting this month and she said: "These constituency meetings are your opportunity to become more involved and learn more about the work of the RD&E.

"At the Exmouth meeting you will be able to hear and see what is available to assist and improve a patient's stay if they are disabled or in need of specific requirements when admitted with an acute illness. It is your chance to ask any questions or put forward any comments."

The meeting will also host a representative from the RD&E's Disability Equality Action Group (DEAG), who will be showcasing new developments and projects to increase accessibility at the RD&E for patients with a disability or special requirement, for instance if they are prone to slips and falls.

The public will be able to view some of the new equipment introduced specially to the RD&E and learn about important plans for the future of DEAG and the hospital.

The speaker will be on hand to accept questions and take any comments or suggestions.

If you would like to become a member of the Trust, have an influence on our plans for the future or just want to learn more about the RD&E then please come to the Exmouth meeting.

Ends.
