A NIGHT of fun and Christmas music is planned at The Pavilion in the run-up to the holidays but also a chance to hear true stories from modern-day Bethlehem.

Nader Abu Amsher, who works in Bethlehem rehabilitating families and children who have been physically and mentally scarred by the conflict in the Middle East, will be telling his stories at the fourth annual Great Big Christmas Sing on Monday, December 8, at 7.30pm.

Choirs and bands from local schools will also be performing on the night, as well as African drummers, the Exmouth Shanty men, and other local singers.

All proceeds will go to Christian Aid to be used in their work with some of the poorest communities in the world.

Tickets are £6.

The Box Office number is (01395)222477.
