The Budleigh Lions Club have presented Marc Jobson and the Hub staff, partners and volunteers with a ‘certificate of achievement’ thanking them for their continued support of the communities of East Devon during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Richard Allen, Budleigh Lions President said, “The Hub is part of a well-coordinated response involving local schools, churches, charities, the Lions and councillors. The mobilisation of their volunteers has been instrumental in helping those in most need in our community.”

Marc Jobson said, “The Hub has completed 4000 requests for help. We have collected more than 1,200 prescriptions and shopped 600 times for those who can’t. We have transported 800 people to their Covid vaccinations..

"The volunteers have completed more than 1,600 hours of service.

"Some volunteers have literally turned up for service every single day.

“I would like to thank Richard for the certificate. It belongs to every volunteer and to our partner Launchpad CIC who made thousands of cooked meals for our lonely and isolated community.”
