On Saturday, August 15, the Exmouth and District Talking Newspaper for the Blind held a street collection in Budleigh Salterton.
We were pleased to collect the magnificent total of 412.59.
Thank you to all the collectors and to the generous people of Budleigh for making this such a success.
The money will go towards the weekly recording of news from the Exmouth Journal and the Budleigh Journal.
It has been an expensive year for the Talking Newspaper, as it has converted to digital recording, so the money collected will go towards this conversion.
If you know of anybody with impaired sight who would like to receive this weekly news recorded on a memory stick, please call the secretary, Gill Laws, on (01392) 266968. There is also a quarterly magazine recording.
