Table tennis gets a boost

A NEW drive to encourage children to take up table tennis has begun at Exmouth Community College. The afterschool club, on Mondays, has been taken under the auspices of the English Table Tennis Association, and under the tutelage of instructor Brian Worts

A NEW drive to encourage children to take up table tennis has begun at Exmouth Community College.The afterschool club, on Mondays, has been taken under the auspices of the English Table Tennis Association, and under the tutelage of instructor Brian Worts.He said children from 11 to 16 have been encouraged to take up the sport because the number of senior players in Exmouth has been dwindling."We have about 28 in the club and its organised chaos! They get to learn about the rules and sportsmanship - we hope it will give the sport a boost and enable it to grow from the grass roots level.
