Now that the ASDA threat has gone away, can we ask for openness from East Devon District Council? The public should be advised of the status of the bus station site, as this was identified as in great need of improvement. We could then make suggestions, and the town council could prepare a plan for the future of Exmouth. As a start, it would be beneficial if the 2 million set aside by the county for the improvement of The Strand was re-allocated to enable vital improvement of the entrance to Exmouth. This would incorporate the transport interchange, and a modest Estuary/Jurassic Coast Visitor Centre, similar to the one at Stover Park.We also need to know what are the proposals for the Post Office/Sorting Office site in the Magnolia Centre? This site has enormous potential for a town centre, food-only supermarket, with the new multi-storey car park at the London Inn being adjacent. David and Margaret Ritchie,(via email)
