TOWN planners have backed a proposal for the Spraypoint Bodyworks building to be demolished and replaced with new modern ones.

The application for the units on Victoria Way to replace the five existing units with four was welcomed by town planners.
However, the Environmental Agency raised concerns about the lack of a flood risk assessment being carried out - full town council support will be given once an assessment is carried out.
A decision will now be made by either the district head of planning officer or district planners at the next development control meeting.
