I have just read the letter from Mr Alexander Allain in the Journal (September 25) and what a lot of common sense he makes. I am a true Exmothian, born here and now, at the age of 76, I despair at what has happened to our town. He is right we have all this beauty around loved by many, but his views on the way forward are sensible and thought provoking. Maybe our town planners and their teams could ask Mr Allain to meet with them and help to further these ideas. We do need another supermarket in Exmouth. As nice as Somerfield is, it is too small for the size of our now much larger town. I have long felt that the old gasometer site and the ground behind Jewsons is a valuable area wasted.
