Superman actor Henry Cavill will take on some of the toughest endurance obstacles when he tackles the Commando Challenge, on Woodbury Common, in the autumn.
Superman will be flying in to take part in this year’s Commando Challenge when Brit actor Henry Cavill takes on the Royal Marines endurance course.
The actor will be in East Devon with his team when the Royal Marines Charity and Devon Air Ambulance host the event over October 8 and 9. Henry will raise funds for the two charities.
Royal Marines Charity ambassador Henry will tackle the course alongside hundreds of competitors keen to try obstacles on Woodbury Common usually reserved for the Royal Marines - tunnels, pipes, wading pools and an underwater culvert called the sheep dip, one of the toughest obstacles of the lot.
Henry said of the challenging mud run: “Being an ambassador for The Royal Marines Charity, it is a privilege to be taking part in the 10k portion of this Commando Challenge.
“There is a 4k version and the rather more challenging 17k, so no matter if you’re feeling casual or quite the opposite there will be something for you.”
He added: “The event is being organised by both the Royal Marines Charity and the Devon Air Ambulance so taking part or donating means that you will be helping both of these honourable charities.”
