Over the weekend of August 13/14, firefighters from both Exmouth and Budleigh set a goal of raising �10,000 for both Macmillan Cancer Support and The Firefighters’ Charity.
I am pleased to inform everybody who both attended and supported the firefighters over the weekend that we were successful with our fundraising activities and raised in the region of �10,200 for two worthwhile causes.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everybody who supported us.
Without the generosity of local businesses donating prizes and the fantastic support from the general public as a whole, we would not have been able to raise our target.
I am extremely grateful, in particular, to Nationwide Building Society, The Park Hotel, Matford Landrover, Woodbury Park, Exeter Chiefs and Exeter City FC for their assistance throughout the weekend.
