The Blackmore Theatre have planned a refit with a makeover of the main entrance and foyer with the new toilet block, lift and stairs, leading to the first floor passageway to the auditorium and new lighting box.

Norah Carrington of the Theatre said: "In addition to the 40-plus tickets I'd already allocated, about 30 people turned up on the night.

"The actors were very happy, the audience seemed to enjoy it, and 30 people stayed for the discussion afterwards including some from Topsham's Anti-Slavery Group.
