Crowds braved indifferent weather conditions to support Topsham School's Summer Fayre.

The event featured a wide range of games and entertainment, including pony rides, a welly-wanging contest, a pedal tractor competition and a challenge to guess how many balloons were in a full size tractor supplied by Highfield Farm.

Inside the school, a range of craft stalls were available, including an NSPCC cake stall run by sisters Martha and Emily Lloyd.

Food was provided by a barbecue run by the school’s governors, and the associated Pimms stall proved very popular with parents.

There was also a raffle featuring prizes donated by local businesses.

The event was organised by the school’s PTA, and raised £3,500 for school projects.

PTA member Annette Soyer said: “It was a great day. We had a good crowd and everyone had an enjoyable time.

“We had some great prizes and great support from businesses in Topsham and throughout the South West.”
