Stolen handbag prompts Budleigh police appeal

A woman’s handbag was stolen from a car parked near Budleigh Salterton, prompting the police to appeal for information.

Officers said the bag was taken from a grey Toyota Avensis parked in South Farm Road, near White Bridge, on Sunday, August 21.

The police said the culprit smashed the rear windscreen of the vehicle before making off with the bag.
