St George, St Francis of Assisi and St Martha were just a few of the religious figures children portrayed when they spent a day learning about saints.

After mass in the morning, pupils visited the Holy Ghost Church, Raddenstile Lane, Exmouth, to view and learn about all the different saints depicted in the building.

St Joseph’s Primary School headteacher Nicola Taylor-Bashford said: “The kids had a lovely day doing lots of activities over at the church.

“They thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the staff dressed up as well.”
