A residential home for adults with learning disabilities has been celebrating St George’s Day in style.
Residents at Stallcombe House, in Woodbury, staged a re-enactment of St George’s story.
The legendary tale says he slayed a dragon.
A colourful dragon was made in the Stallcombe craft workshop and brave St George – the patron saint of England – rode in to save the day.
Parts were played and the story narrated by residents of Stallcombe House with staff and chairman of trustees Geoff Pook taking on the role of the scarifical sheep.
Amanda Greenaway, head of charity for Stallcombe House, said the day was a huge success.
She added: “We had a wonderful time and learnt a lot about the history of the story.
“At Stallcombe House we now know dragons do exist.”
