Food and drink, shopping, gardening, crafts and children’s activities - and hundreds of animals. For a day out with attractions for everyone, head for Westpoint.
People want different things from a day out.
For some, fantastic shopping is the number one attraction; others are happiest enjoying delicious food and drink.
Keen gardeners are in their element among plants and flowers; animal lovers love spending hours getting close to all creatures great and small.
Another treat is the chance to just sit back and be entertained by races and competitions, or exciting display teams.
And of course, children need hands-on activities; things to explore, discover and play with in a safe, fun environment.
The Devon County Show, at Westpoint from Thursday,May 16 - Saturday 18, offers all these things, and much more.
Here are some of the event's top attractions in all categories, including several new features for this year.
Animals and livestock: More livestock competitions than you could possibly take in, as Devon's farmers show off their finest breeds.
There are also show horses and equine events, friendly goats, donkeys and llamas, falconry displays and hundreds of rabbits and cavies. A premier open dog show is a new feature this year, with each group winner qualifying for Crufts 2020.
A Children's Farm offers the chance to watch chicks hatch, sit on a tractor, and plant seeds to take home.
Shopping: Far more choice than you'd find in any town centre, with three miles of shopping arcades.
A huge range of independent retailers will be selling products you won't find on the High Street.
There are clothes and accessories in many different styles; natural health and beauty products, traditional rural crafts, garden features, jewellery, ceramics, rugs, paintings and other works of art. Not to mention the dozens of trade stands, aimed at those living and working in the countryside.
Food and drink: The show is also Devon's biggest food fair, with a pavilion and stalls selling wonderful dishes and snacks, along with cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs, and delicacies to take home.
This year's Food Walk will feature cuisine from around the world as well as local produce, and there is plenty of choice for vegetarians, vegans and people with food intolerances.
There is also a range of real ales and ciders than you will find at any other agricultural show.
Gardening and crafts: A giant marquee bigger than a Premier League football pitch accommodates flower and gardening stands and a floral art competition.
New this year is a greenhouse made entirely from re-used plastic bottles and a garden built out of recycled materials, including a mosaic made of bottle tops.
Along with the many craft stands, there is a home baking competition and a Kitchen Café, provided by St Bridget Nurseries.
Entertainment: There's always something going on in the Main Arena, including a motorbike stunt display team, showjumping, falconry, a Shetland pony performance team, a grand parade of livestock and much more. The show also features live music, Morris dancing, and a display of vintage tractors and steam engines - the list is endless.
