Snow update: Fire service warns motorists to take care on Devon's roads
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is repeating calls for motorists to take extra care as roads in rural locations remain covered in snow.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is repeating calls for motorists to take extra care as roads in rural locations remain covered in snow.
The fire brigade is issuing the following advice to road users:
* Consider how urgent your journey is before leaving home if the roads are icy or covered with snow. Leave additional time to complete your journey and take additional warm clothing with you in the vehicle for use in case of emergencies.
* Make sure that your lights and wipers are working correctly. Make sure that your tyres are in good condition and within legal parameters.
You may also want to watch:
* Wear high visibility clothing if you do have to leave your vehicle. Carry a torch in your vehicle also for use in an emergency.
