During their latest Zoom meeting, members of Budleigh Salterton Probus Club were treated to a talk by former High Court Justice Sir Richard Gibbs.
The meeting was attended by around 40 members and guests as Mr Gibbs spoke about his 'life in the bar and the bench'.
He was appointed as the High Court Justice in 2000 and held that position until his retirement.
According to members, his talk was enhanced by the many humorous anecdotes and was followed by a wide range of questions from members and guests.
The next Zoom meeting is on Thursday, April 15, beginning at 10.45am. The Speaker is Stephen Pearce, MBE and the title of the talk is “NATO”. Stephen served as an Officer in the Royal Engineers for 23 years before joining NATO in Brussels on their International Staff where he remained for 20 years until he retired.
