A HAZELNUT tree has been planted in memory of former Radway Cinema projectionist Gordon Davies after he died of cancer last year.
Gordon, whose widow Mary has received support from Sidmouth's Living With Cancer Group, was remembered by some 30 members of the support group recently when they gathered for a walk to commemorate his life at a ceremony at Margaret's Meadow.
Mary, who lives in Lymebourne, said: "I think the event was marvellous, it was excellent that I could be with my friends at such a lovely ceremony."
The group, pictured, then enjoyed a delicious cream tea in the Lymebourne and Arcot Community Centre held in Gordon's memory.
