MEMBERS of Sidmouth Inshore Lifeboat and Exmouth Coastguard Rescue officers searched an area below Peak Hill, Sidmouth, on Saturday evening after a member of the public reported seeing a suspicious object in the sea there.

Nothing untoward was found after a thorough search and emergency services were stood down.
