Seafront views - but at a cost

I take issue with Adele Tyrell in last week s Journal who seems to be under the misapprehension that the lifeboatmen can only do a good job because they can now launch out of a big building instead of a small one.

I read the letter of 'withheld' and totally support the view that our coasts must be protected from development for future generations.

To give an analogy of the destruction of Exmouth seafront as to what might become of Budleigh is a sensible and sound argument, unlike Adelle Tyrell who missed the point completely.

Vote whichever way you want, but do not kid yourself for a moment that, if planning permission is granted, this will be the last building we will see given the go ahead in our lovely town.

Then, what? No more views unless you pay the price of admission - the price is too high. Keep the coast clear for our children and their children to enjoy as Adelle Tyrell and the other pro-lobby have until now.
