Scores of visitors took advantage of Exmouth’s RNLI open day on Saturday to take a look behind the big wooden doors of the boathouse.
A steady stream of people was given a tour of the all-weather lifeboat and browsed the many stalls, and to hear sea-safety advice before settling down to watch a combined exercise carried out by the inshore lifeboat crew and RNLI lifeguards.
The town’s RNLI guild raised almost 900 for the charity thanks to public donations.
